Educational Support Joedy Foundation (JF) believes education is the birthright of every person, the key to expanded opportunity and social wellbeing.
JF supports education for all children,
and assists less fortunate children to gain access to school uniforms and materials.
We also champion new school building infrastructure and renovation of old
buildings to ensure safe learning environments.
Peacebuilding JF organizes forums to ensure the communities in conflict zones have the skills to resolve their own issues. It builds capacities of locals to heal broken hearts and provide talk and art therapy to victims of Gender Based Violence (GBV).
Child protection JF advocates for the rights of children by representing them in children’s courts, school reconciliation. They also provide children with self defense and life skills,
empowering them with information to
avoid unsafe behavious such as recruitment into armed conflict, drug/alcohol abuse, Sexual abuse of children and harmful traditional practices (Female Genital Mutilation).
Talent Promotion Meetings JF has been on the forefront of nuturing local football talents.

Health
Mental Health JF has professional volunteer staff such as psychologists, who work on mental health including implementing the World Health Organisation (WHO) low-cost model known as Problem Management Plus
(PM+) to help affected youth, children and
women to self manage common mental
health problems such as depression,
anxiety, stress or grief due to conflicts,
rape, sodomy, chronic and emerging
diseases, loss of job. JF also uses media platforms to reach youths and art therapy to address problems.
Adolescent Reproductive Health JF organizes training for children and adolescent youths on the sexual and reproductive health education without bias. Empowering them to make their own decisions about their bodies and their
futures. We provide infomation on gender, adolescent sexuality, early marriage, and childbearing.
HIV / AIDS STIs education JF provide education to children and youths to prevent and control the spread of HIV/AIDS and STIs, this is through:
– DREAMS (Determined, Resillient, Empowered, AIDS Free, Mentored, Safe girls/young women)
– Health choices programmes
Malaria, Cholera, Typhoid JF provide health education to prevent spread of malaria, cholera, typhoid. Through its promotion of innovation and technology it has innovated a new technology using smartphone to diagonise malaria at point of care.
WASH JF does the following to promote WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)
– Providing proper hygiene education: preparing soapless detergents, reusable sanitary towels for girls.
– Provide Safe Water Systems: to empower communities to improve their water by using household treatment options.
– Rehabilitation and/or upgrading of existing water and sanitation facilities, enhancement of technical capacity to monitor and improve the quality of services, and implementation of hygiene promotion activities.
– Ensures there is treated piped water, built springs, drill boreholes, hand dug wells.

Drought Development and Rehabilitation Programme
JF provide DDR programme through
agriculture, agroforestry and income
generating activities. With the recent collapse of paper, sugar and tobacco industries, JF is hoping to train locals and support banana plantations, establishing livelihoods.

Research and Innovation
JF promotes research and innovation
through partnering with research institutes and higher learning institutions. This is because innovations has the power to transform the future, that they are intelligently, emotionally, socially, ethically engaged and that they can have potentially far-reaching opportunities.
